You’ve Got To Be More Aware!

Some of my biggest pet peeves have to do with driving. People who don’t use their blinkers or park where they’re not supposed to. Crazy, right?! Well let me give you a couple of examples.

So if I’m driving down the road and you would like to come into the lane in front of me, flip on your blinker so I can slow down and allow you to safely come in front. Or if you’re dropping your child off at school, don’t park in the drop-off lane; park in a parking spot. By parking in the drop-off lane, you’re causing a backup where now other students are maybe late and the parents are late.

Now you might be thinking, “Colleen, why are you talking to me about blinkers and school drop-offs?” It’s because I see it as a symbol, as an example of the way people have a lack of awareness.

I’m inviting you to be more aware; aware of your environment, of situations, of other people.

The more aware we are, the more we can provide generosity, provide caring support, and work together to create positive outcomes. Too many people are so siloed. They may appear focused, but focused only on what’s going on in front of them. And I hope that that’s not you.

If it is, open your eyes! Become more aware. There are so many opportunities out there that when you are generous, when you know what’s going on, that the opportunities are there for you and for others to create a better outcome. I’m inviting you to be aware today.

Comment below, let me know how you feel about awareness.
